I was born in 1947. I entered the Army in 1967 and was trained as an Infantryman. In April of 1968, I was assigned to Charlie Troop 1/9th Cavalry in Vietnam. On February 19, 1969, I received shrapnel wounds to the face, neck, left ear, both eyes and the right leg.
I came back from Vietnam in April 1969. I was assigned to Fort Knox, Kentucky. While assigned to Ft Knox, I met and married my beautiful wife, Carol in May of 1970. Carol was stationed at Fort as an Army Medic. In April of 1976, we adopted our son, Jason.
I retired out of the Army in 1988. I was retired due to medical injuries which occurred in Vietnam.
My wife Carol and I organized and conducted the reunions for Charlie Troop 1/9th Cavalry from 2010 to 2023. The reunions will always be some of our fondest memories.
I currently live in Florida with my wife, Carol.
