Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 231, [15] pages. Hardcover: H 27.25cm x L 20cm. Semi-rigid brown covers lightly rubbed; slender scuffing at covers' edges; vertical furrows to spine with ends frayed. Light foxing/toning to text block edges with several small stains to top edge as well; past owner's three-line ink inscription on front free endpaper; varied foxing to interior leaves with slight toning at margins and some soiling; title page has three-line handwritten ink note regarding owner's presence among pharmacy students (student's picture being on page 97); small ink scribble and smudge on page 11 of rear advertising section; red wax pencil scribble on rear free endpaper. Usual stress points to binding with several quires/leaves slightly pulled as is typical for contemporary college annuals due to the heavy stock paper overly burdening the minimal stitching. Still a good copy. B/w photographs and illustrations throughout with a concluding 15 page advertising section. French Club roster on page 188 features an unsigned William Faulkner b/w sketch illustration with humorous French caption picturing a man and woman leaning against the guardrails of the ship R.F. Richelieu. The first Ole Miss yearbook was issued for the 1896-1897 academic year nearly a half-century after the school's founding in 1848.
