Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall; 318 pp; Very nice tight clean attractive book, would be like new but the front end page has been removed. Decorative Cloth looks like a checker board, Memoirs of a Colonel Joyce of the 24th Kentucky, U. S. Infantry. Born and raised in Kentucky. Book containds good information on Kentucky during the Civil War. Contains Civil War accounts of Shiloh, Corinth, Braggs raid, Knoxville expedition, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Kennewsaw Mountain, Atlanta. Author went to the Pacific Coast, Califronia, Oregon, Washington Territory. The author was a federal revenue agent, train robber and served prision time. He dabbled in Kentucky politics. Also material on Johnson's impeachment, Ref. : Graff 2254; Coleman 2932; Adams Guns 1203.
