Interesting to note that after twenty printings Morrison has made no alterations of any kind to this book. "Blowoff Velocities of Spherical Flameholders," "High Mass Flow, Ceramic Ram Jet Burner," Utilization of the Gross Fission Products," (Progress Reports 2 & 3,) "Design of an Icing Wind Tunnel," and "High Temperature Combustion Chamber." These were done under contract to the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission. Illustrated with diagrams, drawings and tipped in photographs. Alexander Weir, Jr. worked on the Manhattan Project during WWII and engineered America's first ICBM (the Atlas Missle.) The book is in good condition with slight shelfwear/bumping to edges. The interior is clean and tight. There are 22 pages that had been paperclipped and their is a rust stain on 2 pages and a small tear on one 1/4". The spine is dark red with gold text. Size: 4to. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original plaid textured brown cloth covered boards, blocked and lettered dark brown over cream windows to the spine and front cover. 8vo. 8½'' x 6''. Morrison was one of the first to use high-speed photographs to analyse the golf swing from all possible angles, adoption of the Morrison swing pattern helped to bring about an improvement in scoring in major tournaments during the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s and his methods have influenced many modern golf instructors. Contains (xxv), 179 pp with monochrome archive photographs on loaded paper throughout. Foxing splashes to the margins and end papers and in Very Good square and bright condition, no dust wrapper.
