Stapled wraps. Condition: Very Good. B&W Illustrations; This is an oblong paperback book with illustrated cardstock covers and a stapled spine. The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The book covers have noticeable ground-in dirt and toning. There is some lightish bumping to the bottom corners of the book covers. The text pages are clean and bright. The ownership information page is filled out by a former owner, and the service coupon book at the rear of the book only has one coupon used (the 4,000 mile check-up, and the protective service guide page has the information filled out for the 4,000 mile check up. There is a pocket for a buyer's information card on the front inside cover, but the card is missing. "The Rambler line of cars was the focus of AMC's management strategy under the leadership of George W. Romney. Their compact cars (for the era) helped AMC to achieve sales and corporate profit successes. In 1961, the Rambler marque ranked in third place among domestic automobile sales behind Chevrolet and Ford. Ramblers were available in two sizes and built on different automobile platforms. The larger-sized Rambler series was based on a 1956 design and was renamed the Classic for the 1961 model year to help create a stronger individual identity and contrast from the smaller Rambler American line. American Motors' Edmund E. Anderson designed the new 108-inch (2,743 mm) wheelbase Ramblers "that looked new and fresh but were in fact inexpensive reskinned models." " (from Wikipedia).

Softcover. Condition: Fair. FAIR / NO DJ. Various paginations; approx. 400 pp. Small list of specs written in ink on first page; otherwise pages are unmarked and mostly clean; section at end affected by some kind of liquid damage but doesn't interfere with text. End page is quite smudged. Softcovers are worn; have seen a lot of use in, probably, a garage. Binding is solid though, no loose pages. Quite a few items tucked into book that are interesting in themselves. Overall it appears to be a book that has been well used for its intended purpose, that still has years left in it.
