First editions. Softcover. Five issues bound in four volumes A complete run of this important and influential little magazine that featured a veritable whos who of poets from the period. Aside from contributions by the editors (Ashbery, Koch, Mathews, and Schuyler) there are works by Barbara Guest, Anne Proter, Frank O'Hara, Edwin Denby, Fairfield Porter, Kenward Elmslie, Harold Rosenberg, John Weiners, LeRoi Jones, Larry Rivers Diane Di Prima, Gerard Malanga, Anselm Hollo, William Burroughs, Gregory Corso, and numerous others. Volumes I, II, III-IV are all in very near fine condition in wrappers with some very minute wear, Volume V is in very good plus condition in wrappers with some light wear. Volume I is signed by John Ashbery on the front cover. A lovely set.

Five issues bound in four octavo volumes (ca.17.5-18cm); printed wrappers; 167,[1]; 205,[3]; 294,[2]; 184pp. First (un-trimmed) state of issue 1, measuring 7 1/8" x 5 1/8" (per Kermani, p.98); hint of sunning to spines on volumes I-IV, with a few faint splash marks on spines of volumes I-II; volume I with a few faint stains on rear wrapper; Very Good+. Light wear to extremities on volumes III-V, else Near Fine. Complete run of this poetry journal called "the overseas wing of the New York School.The magazine was definitely "no nonsense" from the beginning, presenting no manifestoes or editorial statements, just high-quality literature - simply and elegantly presented with care and respect" (Clay & Phillips, p.169). In addition to the editors, contributors included Frank O'Hara, Barbara Guest, André Breton, William S.
