The plate is Signed by the author, with other name written on the plate in a different hand. The number is 121, no indication of the total number of signed copies. Lavishly illustrated in black and white, with some in color -- both photos and artwork. This is part ranch history and part garden guide, or, as the author says, ''in this book it's all worked in together with a little of the flower industry, the flower shows, the seed-growing industry, the Men's Garden Club and a little of the Early West.'' BINDING/CONDITION: red buckram with gilt text and vignette; a faint damp stain and ripple affects the top edge of about the last quarter of the book, otherwise a Very Good book.
