Original revised final draft shooting script with color rewrite pages for an unaired episode ÔThe WeekendÕ written by Joyce Perry and B.W. Sandefur for the television series Having Babies, starring Bradford Dillman. This was DillmanÕs working script with his extensive notations throughout and with his estate stamp which reads, ÒFrom the Library of Bradford DillmanÓ. Bradbound, 57 pages, dated January 23,1978. Very good copy with some minor handling. The television series ÔHaving BabiesÕ was based on three television movies with that same title, and was eventually renamed ÔJulie Far, M.D.Õ and starred Susan Sullivan in the title role with Mitchell Ryan, Dennis Howard, Beverly Todd, Ralph Bellamy, and Jeff Conaway. Bradford Dillman (1930-2018) was one of HollywoodÕs best regarded actors among his peers and the public. He was trained at the Actors Studio under Lee Strasberg and knew James Dean in early television. Dillman rose to sudden fame with his appearance in Richard FleisherÕs film Compulsion (1959) with Dean Stockwell and Orson Welles, and continued in movies throughout his career in such films as The Way We Were, The Iceman Cometh, The Enforcer, Sudden Impact, Crack in the Mirror, Escape From the Planet of the Apes, Francis of Assisi, Piranha, The Swarm, etc. A great success in television, Dillman appeared in a remarkable number of shows and made for TV movies in a variety of genres, including, Mission Impossible, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Columbo, Wagon Train, Ironside, Dynasty, The Wild Wild West, Thriller, Wonder Woman, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, and many others.

Sheet Music
No Binding. Condition: Near Fine. Sheet music for a Republican campaign song from the 1948 presidential election, featuring a stylized image of an elephant morphing into a dollar sign, along with a well-known promotional image of Republican candidates Thomas Dewey and Earl Warren with their campaign slogan The Way Ahead . Conceived and published by Perry Bradford. 4to (9 in. x 12 in.), 4 pages from a single folded sheet. Bradford (1893-1970) was an African-American composer, songwriter, and vaudeville performer, whose songs include Crazy Blues, That Thing Called Love, and You Can t Keep a Good Man Down. He is credited with persuading Okeh records to record Mamie Smith singing Crazy Blues in 1920, the first appearance on record of an African-American blues singer. During the 1920 s he promoted blues and jazz recordings by publishing and managing, working with both Smith and fellow blues legend Alberta Hunter. With the Depression, however, he himself fell on hard times, leading to commercial gigs like campaign songs. Better Times Are Coming was composed first as a Republican campaign song for the 1936 election and was reprised for the 1948 campaign. The present item is a fascinating piece of musical and political ephemera, both for its creation by a notable Harlem Renaissance-adjacent figure and for its association with the ill-fated Warren-Dewey ticket. Minor rubbing, otherwise NF.
