Contents clean and tight, some browning to endpapers front & back, very slight soiling, pop-ups in good condition. Gift inscription dated 1938 to ffep. The life of Christ told for children. Includes B&W illustrations and 6 colourful pop-up tableaux by Eileen M Watts. The pop-ups are all in great condition with very slight creasing to a couple. The book comes in its original cardboard postal sleeve.

Cloth rubbed and faded, corners scuffed , covers marked and rubbed, pages tanned , strip cut from top of ffep, pop ups clean and undamaged.

In the Bookano Living Pictures series with delightful pop-up pictures as well as line drawings. Internally bright with the pop-ups in excellent condition except for one that needs the base re-glueing. Boards & spine have some rubbing to the extremities and a small white stain on the F. Former owner's inscription on F paste-down. Firm binding.

Paper Covered Boards. Condition: Good. First Edition. Not dated, c.1930. Size quarto, pages not numbered, blue paper covered boards with oval paper vignette portrait of jesus to front cover, darker blue titles to front cover and spine, spine section blue cloth. Condition good, corners and edges rubbed, spots to page edges and light spotting to pages in book, gift inscription dated 1938 to front end-paper. Contains full page black and white illustrations, and a Six full colour double page pop-up scenes: The Anunciation, The Nativity, Jesus talking to little Children, The Last Supper, The Trial by Pontius Pilate and Christ risen from the Tomb. The pop ups are in very clean condition, intact and nice and bright.

Edition neither dated nor stated, 4to, 28pp, 32p, 22pp, comprising The Birth of Jesus and his Early Life, Jesus in Galilee, and Jesus Returns to Jerusalem and his Crucifixion; as we understand it this is the original format of this title, appearing in 1937, probably a reprint, with six double page pop-up illustrations from Ms Watts; blue paper covered boards the lower board of which, in this example, is somewhat water-stained; blue cloth spine, onlaid vignette centre front board; pages are spotted; pop-ups sound but also sporadically spotted where the dust has crept in around the edges; overall a reasonable example that has clearly been stored unreasonably, ie somewhat damply; G+ Copy Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Condition: Good. A Bookano Living Picture Series book, undated but c1940. Blue cloth boards with oval of Jesus to front and black lettring to front and spine. Inner hinge is cracking. Edges are bumped. A child's crayoning to front and rear end papers. Occasional pages have a crayonned cross and the Annunciation drawing has been coloured in. However all the pop up scenes are in very good condition.
