Handbill. 8.5x11 inch handbill with portrait by Crawford Barton and a list of the lesbian activist's leadership activities from 1973 to 1977. Very good. In 1975, when Daly was appointed to the city's Human Rights Commission, she was celebrated as the first government official whose job was explicitly to serve the gay community. Daly went on to become the first lesbian Police Commissioner in San Francisco.
