Hardcover. Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. Exposition Press, 1975. Stated first edition. Hardcover, 9-1/4 inches tall, xii + 218 pages including index, illus. w/line drawings and calorie tables, with dust jacket. This copy in just fair condition mainly because the covers are bleached from damp-staining. However, there's no wrinkling. Text itself is clean and crisp and unmarked. No stains, tears, or folds. Just the boards somewhat undesirable, but the dust jacket conceals the defects. Dust jacket has some edge wear and a few nicks and small tears, but it is intact. Sound, sturdy binding. No cracks or loose pages. Again, the main drawback is the appearance of the covers--bleached out mainly in the upper section. Photo or more info on request. Author gives a day-by-day menu for a 5-day period for large men and women, and a menu for small men and women. Section on basic exercises toward back of the book. Chapters on obesity, digestion, metabolism, vitamins and minerals, diet based on knowledge, etc.

Here for your consideration is another of the famous medical illustration books by Dr. Frank H. Netter. This one is: Volume 8- Musculoskeletal System Part II- Developmental Disorders, Tumors, Rheumatic Diseases, and Joint Replacement. This large hard cover book (9 ½ x 12 ½ 276 pages) was commissioned and published by CIBA-GEIGY Corporation of Summit, New Jersey dated 1990 and the First Printing (I also believe that this was the last one of the series?). The book is bound in the same green weave cloth boards but has extensive embossed gilt titles on the front cover and the spine and is protected by the clear plastic dust wrapper. It is like all of this series lavishly illustrated by Dr. Netter in full color. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust wrapper is scuffed and has a good deal of cracks and chips and some folding. The hard covers are bright and clean except for some limited loss of finish along the front top & bottom edges, barely noticeable. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
