Original rectangular wooden award plaque with metal text plate and two 3-dimentional goldplated metal figures. Accompanied by an 8 by 10 inch black and white photograph signed by Robert Bloch and Forrest J Ackerman showing Bloch being presented this award from Ackerman. The award has typical quirky text written by the horror film fan magazineÕs editor, Forrest J Ackerman which reads: ÒTO ROBERT BLOCH - FAMOUS MONSTERS of FILMLAND'S HALL of FLAME AWARD - 1972 - For His Screenplay of - ASYLUM - and For Scaring the Yell Out of FMÕs Readers Consistently - for the Past 15 Years.Ó The plaque is 16 inches wide, 12 inches high by 3 inches deep. The award is in vintage condition with light signs scratches, marks and wear from moving and storage. There is some rubbing to gold plating/finish on the face of 1 of the figures making it a shiny silver. The award has a nice vintage look and refers to Asylum a 1972 British anthology horror film made by Amicus Productions. Robert Bloch wrote the script, adapting four of his own short stories. The film was directed by Roy Ward Baker. The film stars Peter Cushing, Britt Ekland, Robert Powell, Herbert Lom, Patrick Macnee, Barry Morse.
