A discussion of the magical mineral waters and baths of Porreta Terme near Bologna at the foot of the Appennines. Elegantly printed with wide text margins, title page remargined, uncut, last few leaves with dampstains in gutter not affecting text, a very clean and crisp copy. Recased in later full boards. Near fine.

In 4°, 30 cm, rilegatura coeva in cartone "alla rustica"; p. vi, (2), 283, (1); vignetta incisa al frontespizio (Toro che beve l'acqua da una cascatella); 4 tavole più volte ripiegate fuori testo, iniziali decorate e animate, grandi vignette incise con vedute di paesaggi in fronte e in fine ad ogni capitolo. Bello e fresco esemplare dai larghi margini.

In-4° grande (mm 280x210), pagine VI, [2], 283, [1] con graziosa vignette nel testo e 4 tavole ripiegate fuori testo (raffiguranti la pianta e gli stabilimenti delle Terme). Cartonato coevo un poco liso e con titolo manoscritto al dorso. Leggere bruniture alle prime 3 carte ma bell'esemplare in barbe. Prima ed unica edizione non comune. Lozzi, 3794 lo attribuisce all'autore "Ranuzzi" definendolo raro e dichiarando poi: "Platneriana cita su Porretta questo solo libro ma come anonimo e il Ranghiasci lo attribuisce a Ferdinando Bassi che fu uno de' più illustri botanici de' suoi tempi".
