Octavo, cloth. First edition. Second and last title bearing the Griffin imprint. This anthology, anonymously edited by William L. Crawford, prints the title novella by Festus Pragnell, "Star of the Undead" by Paul Dennis Lavond and "Crusader" by Basil Wells. Pragnell's "The Machine-God Laughs" is a computer story about a war fought by two mechanical brains, one American, the other Chinese. It was first published in FANTASY BOOK #2 (1947). Reginald 03558.
