First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Printing stated. A clean and well bound copy of this uncommon title featuring writing by Flannery O'Connor, who knew and advised on the subject in question. Binding is solid, tight. Green cloth boards are firm and mostly clean, with a little bit of toning at the edges and with one very light bump to the middle of foredge of the back board. Interior is bright and clean, free of marks - however there is a light stain to a small area at the top and bottom of the front pastedown and front free endpaper, with similar stain to the rear pastedown, as well as to the very very tips of some of the pages. It appears to have been some very mild liquid exposure, however there is no water damage to speak of besides these faint stains, which are fairly neglible - the book is still quite attractive. The jacket is relatively clean and intact, featuring a much lesser amount of sunning to the spine than usual, hardly present, and some minor staining at the edges. Rear panel has some discolorations, showing red coloration to the white parts of the jacket, of unknown origin. Small closed tear at the foot of the DJ spine, now in brodart. Overall a more attractive copy than perhaps this explanation connotes, uncommon in any condition.
