A few of the guards have minor yellowing in places. The plates are bright, clean and unmarked. They have the name of each plate in French as well as English. There are black and white etchings of features of the trees are at the head and end of each chapter. Unmarked throughout and no inscriptions but for name on ffep. 160 pages + 16 pages of ads, four of which are uncut at side edge. Pale yellowing of front and rear endpapers. Tight binding. The green cloth cover, with bright gilt lettering, has a little wear at top & base of spine and at corners.
