The cover has staining to spine and cover edges, some loss at top of spine, clean text block, no owner writing or marks on pages, no foxing, solid binding. The book includes a loose revised title page & color frontispiece along with the preface by John Hunt (these were eventually used in the final version -- the one bound into the proof is a preliminary version). The book measures 215mm tall x 138mm and has 256 pages and 24 b/w illustrations, 9 maps. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
