The manuscript is…in French with some extracts in Tahitian language, with translation, and contains 25 illustrations. It is held by the Louvre since 1927. - - - Contents: "Le Manuscrit de Noa-Noa", "Le Manuscrit de L'Ancien Culte Mahorie", "Les Sources de Gauguin: Les Images", "Les Sources de Gauguin: Le Texte". - - - "Le manuscrit de Gauguin 'L'ancien culte Mahorie' est reproduit intégralement d'apres l'original conservé au Musée du Louvre (Cabinet des dessins RF. 10,755.). A la fin du manuscrit se trouvent deux croquis de Gauguin au crayon, extrémement ténus, qui ne font pas partie de l'illustration de L'ancien culte mahorie et qui n'ont pas été reproduits. La couverture du manuscrit original est faite d'une sorte de fibre tahitienne sur laquelle Gauguin a peint un décor et inscrit le titre de l'ouvrage; le dos et les gardes sont formés d'une toile à carreaux. Le cartonnage de cette edition est reproduit en lithographie d'apres le décor de Gauguin.
