Adventure -- mystery -- and some local color and period stuff. Not a first rater, but a book that meets the demand for mystery for younger girls. A clean presentable reading copy.

This First Edition hardcover book with orange covers has 183 pages including some illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. The copyright page states 1947 First Edition with no other dates or printings shown. This is definitely Not a former library book. There is a price of $1.75 on the DJ flap. The blue dust jacket shows just a hint of edgewear and a short (half-inch) closed tear on the bottom of the back (No Chips). I have placed the DJ in a fresh mylar jacket and this old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!
