Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition and first printing. In good pale blue cloth boards, with silver titles to spine. The boards are firm. and flat; there is a light green stain to front, a few light marks to rear and the spine ends are bumped. The end papers are very lightly foxed. The text blo…ck is beautifully illustrated by the author in black and white and colour. The pages are tightly bound, even and unmarked. Very good plus condition. No dedications etc. Overall condition of boards and text pages is very good minus because the boards to not match the condition of the pages. Without jacket. Hilary Stebbing (illustrator).

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with light wear and chipping to the extremities. Small closed tears to the panel edges with a 2" closed tear to the front panel resulting in creasing. 3" closed tear to the rear panel has been repaired with tape. Light sunning to the spine with the odd mark to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Light age toning to the endpapers. Very Good.
