Sprache: tschechisch. || Following the edition of the Inventory of the Pardubice District, this is the second volume to be published by the Institute of Art History, Czech Academy of Sciences based on previously unpublished texts originally intended for the inventory project of the Archaeological Commission of the Czech Academy of Science and Arts. The manuscript was compiled in the last few years before the outbreak of WW I, and its authors were the grammar school teacher Josef Soukup (art historical captions and plans of the buildings) and Jan Valchár, an expert on regional hystoria and head of one of the village schools in the district (historical introductions). The first part of the introductory essay is dedicated to the history of how the volume came about and on short biographical sketches of the two authors, while the second part includes an analysis of the form and text of the manuscript and the characteristics of the pictorial documentation.
