Binding tight; boards with adge wear, corners bumped; dust jacket spine (missing) repaired with white tape, edges rubbed. Oversize book may require an additional shipping charge. Quoting the Preface: The real artist only interprets well what he understands completely; he completely understands only what he deeply loves. To him, as Keats wrote, 'a thing of beauty is a joy for ever', and one my add that the true artist cannot resist transposing, on canvas or paper, in black and white or in colors, the object of his joy and love. This is the very thing which strikes us when we look at Manuel Kantor's designs of Bahia. We immediately feel that the artist deeply loved the subjects which he so expertly interpreted. One also understands that he learned to love his models thanks to the various journeys which made him visit places often very far apart from each other. Size: 32 x 24 cm. 0.0.

Condition: New.
