Paperback. Condition: Good. First edition. 8vo. [5],vi-xix, [2], 2-183, [1] pp. Bound in original cardstock wraps. All edges stained black (presumably a later modification given the accompanying color bleed on the leaves). A volume in the long-running Studies in Logic and the Foundations of Mathematics series. Series editors L. E. J. Brouwer, E. W. Beth, and A. Heyting. Carol Karp is best-known for her pioneering work in infinitary logic. The present work was her only book published prior to her untimely death in August 1972 and contains her key results at the time of publication. A serviceable copy of this uncommon monograph. Good only with some staining to the wrappers, residue on the rear pastedown, a date stamp in red on the copyright page, and lacking the free rear endpaper.
