This work discusses the claim of a marriage contract between Senator William Sharon and Sarah Althea Hill. There were several lawsuits ranging from divorce to libel and slander and well as criminal prosecutions for adultery, perjury, larceny, and murder. These cases occurred over a ten year period. The author, to used rediscovered complete transcripts thought lost in the San Francisco earthquake of 1906, was himself a judge. Some of the legal decisions served as significant prededents, even into modern times. Good in good dust jacket. Price clipped. DJ has wear, soiling, edge tears and chips.
