senza rilegatura. Condition: buone condizioni. Incisione originale su matrice di rame eseguita all'acquatinta, finemente colorata all'acquerello d'epoca. Nel 1839 l'area venne sistemata in forme romantiche, con giardini all'italiana e all'inglese organizzati in terrazze su tre piani.

| [ENGLISH DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS] Original etching signed by Gilio Rimoldi inc. In the lower left corner and Dom Landini acquire. In the lower right corner. Exterior view of the Charterhouse of Pavia, whose visible façade was completed at the end of the 15th century. Worshipers strolling in the church are enhanced with bright colors. Directed by Carlo Gilio Rimoldi (1787-1841), Milanese architect and artist, famous for his watercolors of Cremona, Milan and Pavia, which he engraved himself. This engraving is part of a collection of lacustrine landscapes and views of Italian monuments (Este villa, Chartreuse de Pavie .) gathered in an amicorum album among engravings, lithographs, drawings, and wash. Executed in the first quarter of the 19th century, these views summarize the stages of the "Grand Tour" of Italy, the obligatory journey of the post-Napoleonic nobility who came to Italy to make an artistic and bucolic pilgrimage to the great achievements of the Tuscan Renaissance and The lovely Lombard and Piedmontese mountain lakes. The European aristocracy was therefore fond of these views of good quality with brilliant colors, which brought together the high places of architecture and the Italian countryside. *.
