Marbled endpapers, pastedowns, and text block edges. Contains black and white photographs and illustrations, with a folded map facing page 338. Noticeable cracking to front hinge, however binding throughout remains firm. Dust marks to endpapers with visible markings. Pencil inscriptions with pink pen scribbles to reverse of front endpaper. Pages are lightly tanned with some foxing. Folded map has noticeable tanning and foxing with heavy tearing to folds. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Leather peeling heavily with loss to spine ends and corners. Visible marks and scratches to all surfaces. Water staining to edges of boards. Lettering and decorations to spine are slightly dulled, bright and clear to front. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.
