His sermons had already won for him a reputation as a sacred orator when he entered the Society of Jesus at Vienna in 1637 at the age of 51. Whilst there he published three volumes of sermons for every Sunday in the year. He then published another volume of sermons for all the Sundays & the principal festivals of the year. This book, divided into two parts, is called the Auctuarium, & was thenceforward published along with the former volumes. The Opus Concionum Tripartitum (which this leaf was removed from), together with the Auctuarium, contain one thousand & ninety-six sermons.
