NEEDS REBIND/REPAIR - both boards are FREE/detached, front hinge failed spine cloth which has wear/small chips to spine-ends is atttached to rear boards with a couple of splits. Green blind impressed decorated boards, gilt titles to spine, light surface wear, rubbing to corners which are a little curled under. Text block has a slight forward lean, one or two slight strains but generally soung, yellow end-papers as of the period with slight finger-marks, very slight foxing to prelims., text has a wave, page-edges darkened with age. Text has one or two slight marks but is generally very clean.

The work was very popular when it was first published and featured religious lessons. It was followed by 'Coelebs Married'. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with bumping to the extremities, minor marks to the boards, rubbing to the extremities of the boards and small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine. The odd slight mark to the endpapers. Rear hinge starting after pp.360. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned pages with the odd spot, heavier to the front. Very Good. book.
