Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. SIGNED on the half title page by Five U.S. Women Olympic skiers and one Male U.S. Olympic skier. One of a Limited First Edition of 950 copies. Hard cover. Blue cloth with gilt decoration. Top edge gilt. Decorative end papers. [xxiv] 328pp. Numerous plates and illustrations within the text. Very good condition with slight wear to edges. The signatories are Betsy Smith, Linda Meputo, Beverly Anderson (1960 Olympics), Penny Pitou (first American skier to win an Olympic medal), Andrea Mead Lawrence (double gold at he 1952 Olympics) and David Lawrence. An important pre-World War II ski book, notable for presenting skiing as a truly global sport through contributions from leading European and American figures.

Limited edition of 950 copies. Dust jacket is in poor condition, heavily worn, spotted, tears, front flap held on by tape, in a protective cover, it did it's job though as the covers are crisp and clean. Occasional spot. Oversize.
