Stills from the stage play (illustrator). 1st Edition. believed 1st edition 1926, written by Ruth Alexander from the play by Arnold Ridley (best known for Dad's Army playing Godfrey) and Barnard Merivale, illustrated with photographs from the stage play, VG+ in a VG+ d/w with two tiny chips at spine base, scarce.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Rare vintage copy of the novelization of Arnold Ridley's Stage play, "The Ghost Train." The book is undated but circa about 1927. The book is generally in very good condition seeing that it appears to have been cheaply printed. The covers have some light wear. There is a small section of cracking towards the top of the front interior hinge. The interior is tanned from age but generally nice and clean, though there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a light bit of foxing or grubbiness, creased page corner, tiny chip or tear, minor stain or marking, etc. It comes in its original dustjacket which is in very good condition with just some minor wear. The jacket comes in a protective removable mylar wrapper. The actual maroon cloth covers of the book only have some minor wear. The binding is good and sound. The book measures approximately 6 5/8 inches by 4 1/8 inches and is 253 pages long. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
