Octavo (23.5cm.); disbound; 32pp. Pamphlet stitching perished and signatures loose, extremities rather darkened, brittle, and chipped with one-inch closed tear to fore-edge margin of pp. [31]/2 slightly touching text without loss of meaning. A Good, complete and untrimmed copy. "Despite the fact that he was an unusually successful preacher.[Griswold] was expelled in 1797 by the Litchfield South Ministerial Association, ostensibly on doctrinal grounds, although it was generally believed that his political heresies were more responsible for the action" (DAB).
