Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 291 pages (text complete). Three of twelve illustration plates are missing. A creaky, much worn copy of a resolutely cheerful book. Jorrocks was Surtees' timeless creation, his vulgarity and cheer still make the reader chuckle today. The red cloth cover is much bashed about. There is wear to all edges, corners and seams. The covers are marked, stained, scuffed. The covers and the spine are stoic. Inside, the contents are foxed throughout. Here and there the binding is cracked, but the pages are secure and sure. The pages are comfortable, relaxed, clear, companionable, amiable and competent for the purpose of entertainment. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
