A lovely copy of the Carmine edition of Richard Harris Barham's popular collection of fantastical short stories, illustrated throughout. Carmine edition. Externally, sound with rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spine. Minor cracks to the joints with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting. A contemporary ink inscription and the bookseller's blind stamp to the front endpaper. Good. book.
