Biographical essays about Jewish members of the Russian Socialist-Revolutionary Party, a democratic socialist party whose official newspaper had been edited by Chernov. A number of Party members were put on trial by Lenin in 1922, leading to protests by Eugene Debs, Karl Kautsky, and Albert Einstein. The Party continued to function in exile thereafter.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Red cloth over boards with faint spotting, a few superficial markings. Soft crease about a half inch from top of spine. Tips with soft creasing, edge wear, darkening. Corners rubbed, bowed; bottom corners bumped. Endpapers with shadowing, soil. Tanning throughout but otherwise very good internally. Bottom corner wear/ dog ears to some pages. Soil to top textblock. Shelf 6d.
