Biographical essays about Jewish members of the Russian Socialist-Revolutionary Party, a democratic socialist party whose official newspaper had been edited by Chernov. A number of Party members were put on trial by Lenin in 1922, leading to protests by Eugene Debs, Karl Kautsky, and Albert Einstein. The Party continued to function in exile thereafter.
