Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. 251 pages, illustrated by the author. "I joined the Lynn Mining Company that left Lynn (MA.) Nov. 10th 1897. This company bought a schooner, the Abbie M. Deering, and went by way of water, stopping at Bahia, Brazil, then passing through the Straits of Magellan, and so on up to San Francisco. And although according to my experience I described the acts of our men as they came under my observation, so I write this Appendix to exonerate many of them, from blame, as it was trying on new men to stand the privation and starvation of a long voyage, and I lay the blame on our leader, who was the cause of all their suffering." VERY GOOD HARDCOVER, dark blue cloth, lettering is bright on spine and cover, some wear to edges of spine. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
