This translation was made after the author had completed certain amendments and abridgments to the 1960 edition of the original, and therefore it does not correspond exactly to the Italian text. Ruggero Zangrandi (Milan, May 5, 1915-Rome, October 30, 1970) was a journalist, writer and historian Italian. In 1939 he founded the Revolutionary Socialist Party, that worked briefly in hiding and that the war would be merged with the Italian Communist Party. During the war, in June 1942, he was arrested and confined in the Roman prison of Regina Coeli. After September 8 was deported and imprisoned in Berlin, Germany. Out of these experiences-Deportation from Berlin to return to Italy-is the book "A Train to the Brenner". After the war he worked as a journalist. He committed suicide in 1970, not having overcome the trauma of deportation." Very good in good dust jacket. DJ is in a plastic sleeve. DJ has some wear and soiling.
