The doctoral dissertation of Levin Abrahams, in which he treats the medieval "Roman de Brut" by Robert Wace. Pp. 73-121 contains an excerpt in the original French with a facing Danish translation. Abrahams (1798-1870), Danish scholar, appointed Professor of French at the University of Copenhagen in 1832. The book is inscribed by the author to Swedish author and member of the Swedish Academy Bernhard von Beskow: "Amplissimo, doctissimo Viro B. v. Beskow / Auctor". With the recipient's bookplate.
