Softcover. Condition: Fine. Hand colored aquatint. (illustrator). 1st Edition. VERY FINE print. Undated. Drawn by J Shaw. Two images, "A Train of Waggons With Goods" & "A Train of Carriages With Cattle". Image 25" wide by 8" high. Locomotive "LIVERPOOL" pulls the "Goods" train, "FURY" the other. A print, with its mate, which shows the world's second successful railway. Authorized in 1824 & completed in 1830, it was an immediate success. Also the cause of world's first railroad fatality. It took the life of a local member of Parliament in a freak acident. A superb print, with matting and framing of matching quality. All frame gilt very bright, the photo does not do it justice. Overall frame size 36" X 20". VERY FINE print. Very nicely matted and framed.
