Some edge wear, chipping, short closed tears and small loss to top and bottom of largely white jacket and spine, some overall wear and time staining, corners rubbed with loss, some damp staining and cockling to prelims, not price clipped (£5.00), previous owner's bookplate to front paste down, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg copy for its age. 219pp, illustrated. A catalogue raisonne of the drawings and engravings of Marcellus Laroon or Lauron, the elder (1653-1702), a Dutch born painter and engraver, active in England. He provided the drawings for the popular series of prints 'The Cries of London'. Sadly I haven't been able to find out anything about the author Robert Raines. Quite a scarce book.
