Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Unpaginated with map, monochrome and color illustrations. Quarto 11" x 9") bound in original publisher's pictorial wrappers. First edition. In this exhibition the art of both the conquest colonial period and precolumbian material of Peru are shown side by side. The illustrations of the Colonial period reveal clearly the way Christian legends were embroidered by Indian painters. The pictures in this exhibition are product of the School of Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire which became the center form the missionary effort among the highland Indians. Condition: lightly soiled, light edge wear. File A.
