Condition: FINE. Advance Reading Copy (trade paperback format. ) The debut novel of this now well-known literary fraud, one which has been the subject of several movies. Purportedly autobiographical, this is narrated by an androgynous twelve year old boy whose mother Sarah is a lot lizard, a prostitute who works the truck stops in West Virginia. He tries to follow in her world, working for a pimp who specializes in "boy-girls." Along with the collection of stories published in 2001 this became the film "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things" with Asia Argento. 154 pp. Fine in glossy illustrated wrappers.

Soft cover. Condition: Poor. Publisher's original stapled wrappers, octavo, pp. 19 + [1]. Illustrations; map. Poor condition wrappers are chipped, limp, and nearly separated from the text block. The sheet with pages 9-12 has worked loose from the staples and is laid in at center. Protected now from further wear in a clear new display sleeve with white cardstock backing board. Uncommon in trade or institutional holdings. The 1902/03 and 1905/06 Seasons are found in an OCLC search, but this 1904/05 Season is not recorded.
