Mencken who contributes a preface. There is also a biographical essay by editor Alfred J. O'Ferrall. Includes a handwritten note by Alfred J. O'Ferrall on the front endpaper: "Baltimore Yesterdays Great Days of yore with good old horse cars right by the door. Told very quaintly by good Merideth (sic) J. charming tales of a bygone day.
