In "Prophets, Priests, and Kings", Mr. Alfred George Gardiner, who was also known by the pseudonym of "Alpha of the Plough", presents a collection of genial essays, which in some way are brief biographical excerpts, but for the most part are Mr. Gardiner's personal views of the individual chosen. They are a goodly assortment, some of which will be familiar to all, and others may have retired to the dusty corners of history's back shelves.
