Paperback. Condition: Good. In Spanish. 1953 Fac. de Ciencias Naturales, Univ. Nacional (La Plata, Argentina), 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches tall paperbound in green printed wraps, 265-308 pp. plus seven full-page photographic plates with descriptions on the facing pages. Offprint from Revista del Museo de La Plata, Seccion paleontologia. Prior owner name, author name, identification number in pen to front cover. On the covers, and within, all references to the capital city of Buenos Aires in Argentina as 'Eva Peron,' as it was known from 1952 to 1955, have been lined out in pencil and its proper name of 'La Plata' written in. Covers are mildly creased and sun-faded, with edgewear, especially to spine. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean and unmarked. ~G~ Association copy: The prior owner, Craig Black (1932-1998), was a respected vertebrate paleontologist and professor who served as curator and later director of Carnegie Museum of National History, and from 1982 until his retirement in 1994, director of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
