Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. Later edition (first edition was published in 1993). Volume first of The Witcher Saga. In Polish. Original publisher pictorial cloth. Inscribed by author on the title page "Karolinie, Sapkowski". Paper browned, slightly wear on the edges, minimal soiling, front bottom corner bumped. Else nice and clean copy. Andrzej Sapkowski is one of Poland's most successful authors, having sold more books in his home country than Stephen King or Michael Crichton. He has won numerous awards, including the David Gemmell Legend Award and the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire. Born in 1948 in ?ód?, Sapkowski studied economics and worked as a financier until the success of his fantasy cycle about the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, turned him into a bestselling writer. The first season of the Netflix series The Witcher was based on stories from The Last Wish. Signed by Author(s).

Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Complete set of the Witcher series in Polish, all are first editions, first impressions. The set includes 12 volumes (Wiedzmin, Ostatnie Zyczenie, Miecz Przeznaczenia, Krew Elfow, Czas Pogardy, Chrzest Ognia, Wieza Jaskolki, Pani Jeziora, Cos sie konczy, cos sie zaczyna, Sezon Burz, Szpony i Kly, Rozrdroze Krukow), last three volumes are signed by the author. Additionally, the set includes a premium edition published in 2023, consisting of 8 books in elegant hardcover, all packed in a soft box. All 8 books are signed by the author on the title pages. In total, there are 20 books for sale, of which 11 are signed. The event took place on June 8, 2025, in Opole, Poland, at the book fair where the author held a fan meeting and gave out signatures. The number of spots was limited, which makes this set significantly more valuable. The overall condition is very good; only 'Sezon Burz' has a slight dent on the front cover (from an impact) and a few pages with minor tears at the top edges, also from the impact, without affecting the text. The soft box is slightly torn on the front upper edges, with a few additional tears on the back. It also includes one magazine, "Fantastyka" - the Polish monthly "Fantastyka" from December 1986, containing the first printed edition of the short story "Wiedzmin" (later used as the opening of the saga in the first volume of the series). The story was printed on seven pages as a submission for the monthly competition, which it won. The whole adventure with the Witcher world begins with this edition. "Wiedzmin" was published by Reporter in 1990 - the first book edition of the Witcher, containing five stories published in the pages of "Fantastyka" magazine from 1986-1990. The first two volumes - "Ostatnie Zyczenie" and "Miecz Przeznaczenia" - are collections of thirteen short stories and serve as an introduction to the world of the Witcher. Additionally, the second volume of stories is a rare edition illustrated by Boguslaw Polch. This New York Times bestselling series inspired the international hit video game, The Witcher, and the series produced by Netflix. A very beautiful and extremely rare set to acquire. More pictures upon request. Signed by Author(s).
