Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Undated, this is a humorous illustrated account of a typical British archaeologist's summer season in the field. Unfortunately, it is not signed but is very nicely done with accompanying hand drawn illustrations. It does mention Odiham Castle in Hampshire on one of its pages. There is a hand drawn coat of arms on the first page with the motto "Respice Praeterita," which roughly translates from the Latin to "Look back at things past". The small slim format green cloth sketch book measures 7 inches by 5.25 inches approx. running to 28 used pages. In good condition as seen, most but not all pages are pictured ! This is a lighter item, shipping overseas costs will be reduced accordingly at checkout where possible.
