Second printing of the Pelican Publishing 1965 fifth edition (which is a reprint of the 1903 F.F. Hansell & Brother fourth edition with addition of an Introduction by Professor E.M. Socola in Vol. I). All hardcover, H 20.75cm x L 14cm, lacking dust jackets. Brown cloth rubbed, some bumping/wear at board corners, gilt stamping to spines has varied flaking/dulling but all still legible; light staining at Vol. I fore-edge with a few leaves affected at margins; cloth at heel of Vol. III spine nicked. Each volume with past owner's ink date notation at top of their front pastedowns; top corner of Vol. I pages 27-28 creased from past fold-down; bumping at bottom corners of all pages in Vol. III; a few spots of minor soiling to pages scattered about the set but interior leaves, overall, remain quite clean. Bindings are firm. Very good- to very good copies.
