McCullough,Printer;" label on fronpaste-down shows it is part of an inheritance and "Glover's book May 1813" is written in beautiful hand on t.p. Full title: "Key to the Exercises Adapted to Murray's English Grammar. Calculated to Enable Private Learners to Become Their Own Instructors in Grammar and Composition. By the Author of The Exercises. from the Last English Edition Improved by the Author." 144 p, on strong but dog-eared paper, small oper hole on t.p. next to word "Exercises" and their are faint stains throughout. Leather boards are much scuffed and are beginning to detach near crown of spine. Front gutter cracked but binding still well-attached and text block is firm. Insert from old newspaper, probably southern, because it lists in "Deaths" the race of each individual, along with cause of death. Examples:" Eddie Montgomery, colored, 1-year, 31 Lester street; teething." "Robert A. Owens, white, 23 years, Edgewood; tuberculosis." On other side of clipping is a poem by Charles W. Hubner, "Ruth and Naomi.
