Some interesting pieces include The Revolution i…n California in which the Vigilance Committee of San Francsico which essentially took over the city; The Capture of Santa Anna; The Old Charter Oak describing the destruction of the venerated tree via storm; and an illustrated History of Boots and Shoes. Three quarter black leather over marbled boards, gilt spine lettering and ruling, 572 pages. Covers rubbed, mainly at the extremities, good hinges, sound text block, pages age-toned but clean with some occasional light foxing, some very short closed edge tears confined to margins, name in pencil on title page, no other markings. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
