Paperback. 63p., presswork on nice alkaline paperstock, softbound in 8x6 inch wraps, front cover decorated (dimly) with a faint stone-rubbing. Back cover has suffered two vertical creases, we se no other damage inside or out: item is otherwise sound, entirely free of any soil or marking. Few books are published that lack author & title credits; this one probably went out to a known-quantity readership that needed no such guides. The text here is in good readable English throughout.

This book, the tenth in the Cambridge Modern History series, examines the decades following the Napoleonic Wars, a time of great social and political change across Europe and its colonies. It explores the efforts of the Congress of Vienna to restore stability to the continent after years of conflict, the rise of new ideologies such as liberalism and nationalism, and the struggles for independence in Latin America. The book also delves into cultural and intellectual movements of the period, such as the Romantic era in literature and the growth of scientific inquiry. By examining the complex interplay between these factors, the book sheds light on the foundations of the modern world and the forces that continue to shape it today. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
